The Lab
One hectare. Four thousand chickens per year. Endless experiments.
Building the Blueprint
Before we can scale, we need to know what works. That's what our test farm near Tamatave is for.
On one hectare of land, we're running a complete pastured poultry operation: mobile chicken tractors moved daily across rotating pastures, local feed trials, processing systems, and everything else that goes into raising quality chicken efficiently.
We're also testing approaches that go beyond standard pastured poultry:
Hydroponic greens
Can we grow nutrient-dense fodder year-round to supplement chicken diets? We're finding out.
Improved barn systems
For rainy season or higher-density production, we're testing barn designs that maintain animal welfare while increasing output.
Local feed formulations
Every batch teaches us something about what works with Malagasy ingredients. We're documenting everything.

We Share What We Learn
Most farms keep their methods secret. We're doing the opposite.
If we figure out a feed formula that cuts costs by 30%, we'll publish it. If a pasture rotation method fails, we'll explain why. If our financials show a path to profitability, we'll share the numbers.
Why? Because the goal isn't just one successful farm. It's a whole network of farms across Madagascar, run by local farmers, using proven systems. The more we share, the faster that network can grow.
